(Victorville) – The Victor Valley College Foundation announced that Dr. Christopher Thornberg, will headline the 2016 High Desert Economic Summit. The regional economic conference presented by Desert Valley Hospital and Desert Valley Medical Group will be held May 5, 2016.
Dr. Thornberg is the Director of the Center for Forecasting and Development at UC Riverside’s School of Business Administration and a founding partner of Beacon Economics, LLC. He is widely considered to be one of the nation’s leading economists. An expert in economic forecasting, regional economics, employment and labor markets, and industry and real estate analysis, he was one of the earliest predictors of the subprime mortgage crash that begin in 2007.
His presentation at the May 5th event will provide a robust analysis of data to offer local developers, businesses, governments and investors with actionable information to enhance long-term decision making in our local community. His presentation will focus specifically on the local and regional economy in San Bernardino County.
