(Victor Valley)—The Mojave Water Agency’s history reads like a good book. Did you know there were out-of-the-area attempts to divert water from the Mojave Water to Orange County? Did you know the first attempt to adjudicate water rights failed? Did you know early community leaders laid a foundation that led to the formation of the Mojave Water Agency?

History writer Jeff Crider will present MWA’s history and tell stories of what he learned about our region during this ABC’s of Water event, taking place on Tuesday, July 26th at 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m at 13846 Conference Center Dr in Apple Valley. During the evening, Crider will answer audience questions and also interview current Board Member Carl Coleman, who served as MWA’s first general manager.

Refreshments will be served. Seating is limited, so register now to attend. Please email Gloria Golike at or contact her at (760) 946-7001. The deadline to register is July 25th.
