(Victorville)– Many marriages and families today are facing challenges that are not discussed. When a couple is facing a rough patch, finances and backgrounds are typical topics, but there are too often other concerns that need to be brought into the light. Sunrise Church is holding a marriage conference Saturday, July 9 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. to focus on some of these intense issues couples face. Love Endures: Giving Couples Hope Over Hang-ups and the Past is a bilingual conference, and will include topics on addiction and abuse as well as relationships with former partners and how they impact the marriage and family.
Couples will learn how to identify and overcome addictions – drugs to donuts, work to hobbies – that are destroying families. They will examine boundaries and responses to ex-partners so blended families can thrive. Couples will also learn to identify the various forms of abuse including manipulation and control that are often present in marriages. Attendees will leave with encouragement and direction on how to have a marriage of sacrifice and commitment that weathers life’s storms. Church and community resources will be available to aid couples in their next steps to healing and restoring their marriages and families.
The event will include a general bilingual session as well as breakout sessions taught in English and Spanish. Couples and single individuals are encouraged to attend the free conference — registration is required.
