Now at 40% Containment and 37,020 Acres, Blue Cut Fire Still a Threat- Relief Fund Set Up By Inland Empire United Way

(Victor Valley)—Containment continues to grow as firefighters continue to battle the Blue Cut Fire, now at 37,020 acres and 40% containment according to Inciweb.

The firefight now has 1584 personnel on scene, with 178 engines, 26 crews, 10 air tankers, 2 Very Large Air Tankers (VLATS), 17 Helicopters, including night flying helicopters and the night flying air attack.

The Inland Empire United Way has established a disaster relief fund to help those affected by the fire’s destructive path. You can donate at: or Text: RELIEF to 40403.

I-15 North and Southbound is open through the Cajon Pass. Please exercise extreme caution as crews an equipment are still working along the road.

  • All ramps remain closed at: Kenwood Avenue and Cleghorn Road.


Highway 138 is closed from Interstate 15 to the Los Angeles County Line.

State Route 2 closed from LA County Line to the 138.

Old Cajon Blvd north of Devore.

Lytle Creek Road at Glen Helen Parkway.

Lone Pine Canyon Road from East Canyon Drive through Highway 138.

Swarthout Canyon Road to Cajon Boulevard.
