Blue Cut Fire Continues to Burn, Down to 25,626 Acres, 4% Containment

(Victor Valley)— San Bernardino National Forestry announced that the Blue Cut Fire is now down to 25,626 acres with 4% containment. The fire continues to prompt school closures for Thursday, and fuels more concern for residents across the Victor Valley.

Having already claimed a number of structures, including homes and the iconic Summit Inn, the fire burned erratically on Wednesday as firefighters continued to protect lives and structures.

School districts have announced continued closures for Thursday, and some have announced closures for the rest of the week. These include Adelanto Elementary School District, Apple Valley Unified, Barstow Unified, Hesperia Unified (Thursday and Friday), Oro Grande, Snowline Joint Unified (Thursday and Friday), Victor Elementary and Victor Valley Union High School District.
