(Victor Valley)– The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 8 has awarded projects to three separate contractors for improvements to State Route 330 (SR 330).

The projects will install new guardrail at nine locations, reline and repair eleven existing culverts and repave the route between State Route 210 (SR 210) and Running Springs.

Traffic control, or flagging, will be necessary for all three projects, Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The contractors will be working at various locations along SR 330 at the same time eventually, therefore, motorists can expect delays at those flagging locations.

Motorists are advised to add time to commutes if they use SR 330. Motorists driving to Big Bear are encouraged to use State Route 38 (SR 38) from Redlands, as a detour to avoid delays.

Advisory signs are posted in advance of the work zones. Please reduce your speed when you encounter flaggers or work crews. The California Highway Patrol will be on site to ensure the safety of the workers and motoring public.

In addition to the three projects above, other projects will begin on State Route 18 (18) in the coming months. A paving project is expected to begin in September between Green Valley Lake and Lakeview Point (in the Snow Valley region) and yearly routine maintenance will require full closure and lane closures in the Arctic Circle. Information will be released once the start dates have been determined.
