(Victor Valley)– On August 20, VVAPL Humane Society celebrates National Check the Chip Day, a day to remind pet owners to microchip their pets, keep the registration information up-to-date, and have their microchipped pets scanned once a year to make sure the microchip is working properly. Join VVAPL Humane Society at 21779 Zuni Road in Apple Valley on Saturday, August 20 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for some microchip happenings. There is no charge to scan a pet.
- Microchip your cat or dog for only $15, which includes implanting the 24PetWatch MiniChip and registration.
- We will scan your microchipped pet to make sure the chip is working properly.
- Not sure if your pet is microchipped? We will scan your pet to verify.
- Microchips only work if the registration information is accurate. Not sure if your information is up-to-date? We’ll scan your pet and tell you which microchip company to contact to verify your information.
Microchips greatly increase the chance that lost or stolen pets are returned to their owners if found and the registration information is accurate. From more information contact VVAPL at (760) 247-2102.
