The exhibit consists of photographs, poetry, installations, signage and spoken word of the predominantly working class neighborhood, whose rich history has made important contributions to the city of Redlands.

McGovern and Delgado have collaborated since 2012. Their 2013 publication, “Vital Signs,” is a collection of photography of handmade signage in the Inland Empire and poetry about the region and immigrant experience. “Vital Signs” received an American Book Award from the Before Columbus Foundation in 2014.

Their collaborative artworks include photography, poetry, signage and installation and have been exhibited at CSUSB’s Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art, the Museum of Art and History at California State University, Northridge, and the University of Redlands (January 2017). Their collaborations have been profiled by the Poetry Foundation and in a feature article in the New York Times. To learn more, visit the website www.juanandtom.com.
