(Victor Valley)—Taylion Academy, a free public charter school located in San Bernardino, is participating in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Pennies for Patients program to help raise awareness and funds in honor of the thousands of children and adults fighting against blood cancers.
The Student Council in San Bernardino is holding a penny drive, with hopes of reaching their goal of $2,000 by March 17th. Students, parents, teachers and community members are welcome to drop off penny donations at the LLS designated boxes at Taylion Academy, located at 1184 W. 2nd Street, Suite 101 in San Bernardino. Taylion’s High Desert locations will also be accepting penny donations in support of Taylion San Bernardino.
“The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is a cause near and dear to my heart,” said Amy Riggs, Director at Taylion Academy. “As a teenager, my husband was diagnosed with A.L.L. Leukemia.
