(Victorville)– On Feb. 18 at 9 a.m., the American Red Cross of San Bernardino will host a Home Fire Campaign event at the Victor Villa Mobile Home Park. The goal of the event is to promote fire safety and reduce the number of home-based fires. Volunteers will go door-to-door to install free smoke detectors and to share fire safety tips with residents. San Bernardino County Fire and the City of Victorville are supporting this event. The Home Fire Campaign is a national initiative designed to reduce the number of fire-related deaths and injuries in the U.S. by 25 percent by the year 2020.
