(Victorville)– The City of Victorville is again organizing a City-Wide Community Cleanup Day to be held on Saturday, April 8. The City is now seeking sponsors for this event.
Sponsors are listed on the event t-shirt worn by hundreds of volunteers during the clean up. Sponsors are also listed on all event fliers, posters, and advertisements.
Sponsorships help cover the actual cost associated with the events, including T-shirts for the volunteers, plastic bags, gloves, trash grabbers, bottled water, first aid kits, etc.
The Victorville Community Cleanup Day is a semi-annual event held each October and April. The first Victorville Cleanup Day was held in October 2007. Since then, more than 11,463 volunteers have worked together to collect over 126 tons of litter from Victorville roadsides. During the October 2016 event, more than 940 people volunteered collecting 9.83 tons of litter from 33 different sites around the City.
