(Apple Valley)– Repair work on the Apple Valley Library is coming along nicely and the County is still expecting completion and reopening in 2018.
So far, the roof has been demolished, new trusses have been installed, and rough carpentry work is at least 90 percent complete. Installation of roof insulation and thermal barriers is underway. Installation of sheet metal flashing and gutters has begun, roof tile installation is underway, and work on fire sprinklers and electrical will begin this month. At this point the building is considered to be “weathered in,” meaning the interior is now protected from the elements.
Construction began in April 2017.
