(Victorville)– On Monday, Oct. 16 the City of Victorville launched a new online permitting and licensing system designed to increase speed and convenience for businesses and individuals alike. The new system will enable members of the public to apply for permits and licenses, correspond with city plan-checkers, pay fees, view the status of their applications and schedule inspections conveniently online. Building plans can be uploaded to the system in electronic format saving builders and homeowners the cost of printing; and members of the public can submit requests to Code Enforcement as well as apply for and renew dog licenses via the new application.
“The days of having to drive to City Hall to apply for a business license or renew a dog license are over,” says Victorville Mayor, Gloria Garcia. “Using this application, we will expand service and enable our public to complete these functions anytime of the day, seven days a week.”
The online system is being implemented throughout the City’s Development Department, which includes Building, Planning, Business Licensing, Code Enforcement, and Animal Care and Control.
Beginning Oct. 16, the City’s online permitting and licensing system can be accessed from the City of Victorville website at www.victorvilleca.gov.
In the coming weeks, City staff will host training workshops to help people optimize the benefits of the new technology. To learn more about Victorville’s online permitting and licensing system or to request assistance with the new application, call (760) 955-5100.
