(Victor Valley)– “It’s so exciting to raise them up and send them to good homes,” said long-time VVAPL Humane Society dog foster Christine Meyers about the many puppies and their moms she’s cared for over the past four years. Whether she’s bottle feeding puppies, socializing the mama and her pups with her dogs and cats, or potty training the mama dogs, it’s always a labor of love with one goal in mind….Get the puppies and their mom ready for homes.
VVAPL Humane Society needs more dog and cat foster parents. Home environments are healthier for puppies and kittens, and the constant human interaction helps with socialization. Having litters in homes also frees up space for adult pets at the humane society.
Foster parents are a valuable resource. It is a short-term commitment of two to eight weeks. If you have love to share with needy animals and want to be part of saving pet lives, please call VVAPL for more information at (760) 247-2102.
