(Victorville) – On Saturday, Nov. 18, the City of Victorville and Victorville Disposal are sponsoring a Free Dump Day event to make it easy for City residents to clean up their yards and neighborhoods. The event will occur from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will take place next to the Victor Valley Materials Recovery Facility, located at 17000 Abbey Ln., off of Stoddard Wells Road, in Victorville.
Items such as garden trimmings, broken fences, old furniture, mattresses, appliances, scrap metal, cardboard boxes, and extra trash can be disposed of free of charge during the event. No tires, TVs, computers, hazardous waste, paint, oil, compressed cylinders, dirt, or asbestos materials will be accepted.
This Free Dump Day is for City of Victorville residents only, and proof of Victorville residency will be required (current water bill or other utility bill). No business waste materials will be accepted.
The City of Victorville Recycling Drop-Off Center located at 15164 Anacapa Rd. is available for recyclables and electronic waste. Residents are encouraged to take items such as TVs, computers, tires, and e-waste to the Recycling Drop-off Center rather than the Free Dump event. Residents may also drop-off scrap metal, mattresses/box springs, and cardboard at the Recycling Drop-off Center if they wish. The City of Victorville Recycling Drop-off Center is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
