(Victor Valley)— Taylion High Desert Academy’s Student Council is pleased to announce the kick off of their annual Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive.
Donations gathered will first go towards assisting Taylion Academy students and their families in need of a complete Thanksgiving dinner. Any extra donations will be donated to the High Desert Outreach Center, to help with their ongoing efforts, especially during the holiday season.
“We want everyone to have a great Thanksgiving,” said Nolan Smith, Student Council Advisor for the Victorville location. “That’s why we started doing the food drives three years ago. Our students see the need in the community, and within their own school.”
Donations are being accepted at both the Victorville and Adelanto Taylion locations. Donations needed include canned vegetables, boxed mashed potatoes, bread, canned gravy- everything you would think of that is included in a traditional Thanksgiving meal. We are in need of turkeys, chickens and hams as well.
