By Staff Reports

(Apple Valley) – Liberty Utilities (Apple Valley Ranchos Water) Corp. “Liberty Utilities Apple Valley” will break ground on a $1,049,379 infrastructure improvement project in the vicinity of Quantico Road and Potomac Road the week of Jan. 22, 2018.

The estimated three-month project to install 6,164 feet (1.17 miles) of water main, nine hydrants and 32 service lines will ensure Liberty Utilities Apple Valley can continue providing quality, reliable water service to customers in that pocket of the water system. The majority of construction will occur along the right-of-way near the intersection of Quantico Road and Potomac Road.

“We are excited to start the New Year with this project, which will improve reliability and hydraulics for this portion of our water system.” said Tony Penna, Vice President and General Manager for Liberty Utilities Apple Valley. “We will attempt to limit any inconvenience to customers, and we appreciate the community’s patience throughout the project.”

Liberty Utilities Apple Valley will directly notify customers at least 24 hours prior to any temporary service interruptions during the construction period. When requested in advance, customers will be provided complimentary bottled water prior to any scheduled service interruptions to limit inconvenience. In areas where traffic may be impacted by construction, traffic flaggers will be present during work hours for the safety of our crews and the public.

Customers are asked to call Project Manager Mike Lent directly at 760-240-8317 with any questions or concerns, or if they would like to request bottled water in advance of a scheduled service interruption.
