(Victorville)— Taylion High Desert Academy is pleased to announce they will be holding a LifeStream Blood Drive on Thursday, January 18th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Victorville.
Taylion Academy has held a blood drive annually with LifeStream since 2014. No one really thinks of being in the need of blood donations; however, 1 in 4 people, at some point in their life, will require a blood transfusion. Every 2 seconds, someone in the United States needs blood.
All whole blood donors must be at least 15 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health. All 15, 16 and 17-year-old donors require parental consent prior to donating. The consent form can be found at https://www.lstream.org/about-donating/who-can-donate/.
The blood drive will take place at the Taylion Academy in Victorville, located at 14196 Amargosa Road. Appointments can be made and are encouraged. Schedule an appointment today at lstream.org.
