By Staff Reports

(Victor Valley)– Cal State San Bernardino’s Coyote Advertising and students from the art department took home 38 ADDY awards from the annual American Advertising Federation Inland Empire Chapter’s Awards Gala.

Coyote Advertising, which competed in the professional category, won one gold award, three silver awards and six bronze awards. In addition, it shared two bronze awards with the CSUSB College of Education.

“It’s pretty amazing for Coyote Advertising to win a gold and three silvers this year, considering we are a student agency competing against the very best professional advertising/media agencies in our region,” said Jacob Poore, Coyote Advertising manager.

The awards gala took place at the Mission Inn Hotel and Spa in Riverside. The annual event recognizes and honors the top advertising work created in the Inland Empire counties of San Bernardino and Riverside during 2017.

According to the AAF Inland Empire, the student competition was the 13th such competition in the nation, with 109 entries from seven colleges and universities. CSUSB’s 31 total awards was the most in the student competition, followed by the Art Institute of California-Inland Empire’s 29.

The American Advertising Awards Inland Empire Competition is part of the national American Advertising Awards, the world’s largest advertising competition with about 40,000 professional entries in almost 200 local competitions and about 5,000 student entries.

Winners in the local competitions move on to compete in one of 15 district competitions for the right to make it to the national finals. Both the professional and student gold winners in the Inland Empire will move on to compete against the professional and student gold winners in the American Advertising Awards District 15 competition against the winners from the Los Angeles, Orange County, Palm Springs, San Diego, Las Vegas and Coastal California (San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura counties) competitions.
