(Apple Valley)– Apple Valley residents with yard waste, household trash, broken small appliances, furniture, metal and other items they would like to discard are encouraged to participate in a neighborhood clean-up day this Saturday, March 10.
Hosted by the Town of Apple Valley Code Enforcement Department, with the support of a grant from CalRecycle, items will be accepted between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. free of charge.
Although the staging area for this event is on the northeast corner of Kiowa and Tussing Ranch roads, the event is open to all Apple Valley residents.
No tires, refrigerators, TVs or hazardous waste will be accepted. However, household hazardous waste can be taken to the collection facility at the Public Works yard at 13450 Nomwaket Road the first four Saturdays of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
