(Apple Valley)– The Town of Apple Valley Planning Commission recently approved a conditional use permit to allow construction of a 18,800-square-foot Tractor Supply Store on 3-acres at the northwest corner of Braeburn and Bear Valley roads.
Founded in 1938 in Tennessee as a mail order tractor parts business, the retail chain is now in 49 states.
More than just a “farm and ranch” supply store, Tractor Supply also carries sporting, fishing, camping and hunting gear, truck and trailer accessories, home improvement goods, pet care, clothing and more.
“It is great to finally welcome Tractor Supply to Apple Valley,” said Orlando Acevedo, Assistant Director of Economic Development. “This new store affirms our message that Apple Valley is a strategic location for retailers and restaurants to serve the consumer demand at the east end of the Victor Valley.”
The Apple Valley location will be the third Tractor Supply Store in the High Desert. It will join Hesperia and Barstow locations to serve High Desert residents.
Now that the planning commission has approved the permit, the developer, Brad Sobel of The Sobel Company, is expected to submit building plans by the end of spring with ground breaking expected in late summer.
The store is expected to open in spring 2019 and employ 12 to 15 full-time people.
