Adelanto to Host First Stadium Shoppers Swap Meet

By Staff Reports

(Adelanto)—The City of Adelanto will also hold its first ever Stadium Shoppers Swap Meet and Flea Market at Adelanto Stadium parking lot on Saturday, May 19 from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.  Vendors can pay $20 for a 20 feet by 20 feet spot (equal to approximately two parking spaces).

“We scheduled this event to better serve not only the residents of Adelanto, but all those who live in the west portion of the Victor Valley,” said Aaron Korn, Stadium Manager.  “We ask vendors to arrive by 6:00 a.m., and all the necessary forms will be completed at that time,” he added.  Spots from which to sell will be allocated in the order in which vendors arrive.

Korn added that even though the Swap Meet normally held at the Fairgrounds in Victorville will be suspended because of parking restrictions while the County Fair is occurring, the Swap Meet is not relocating to Adelanto Stadium.

“The Stadium Shoppers Swap Meet and Flea Market is a completely separate event and is not associated with Macklin Markets, which holds the Swap Meets at the Fairgrounds,” said Korn.  “It’s just coincidence that our event is the same as opening weekend for the County Fair.”
Buyers will also have a chance to find other bargains as Adelanto residents will also participate in a city-wide yard sale the same weekend, selling items in their front yard, driveway or garage without having to pay city fees, or obtain a license or permit.

Anyone interested in purchasing items from vendors can attend the event for free.  For more information regarding the Swap Meet contact Aaron Korn at:  (760) 246-6287 or by email:  Questions regarding the City Wide Yard sale contact Virginia Cervantes at:  (442) 249-1124 or by email at:
