(Victorville)– Grab your swimsuits and sunscreen and head out to the grand opening of Doris Davies Park Pool this Memorial Day! The pool will be open from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, May 28. Regular weekend hours begin June 9, when the pool will be open from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.; and starting June 11, the pool will be open Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Doris Davies Park Pool is located at 16305 Hughes Rd. in Victorville. A $3 per-person fee is charged for anyone entering the pool area, including individuals not planning to swim. Appropriate swimwear is required.
Children under 10 years-of-age must be accompanied by an adult. All adults and parents of minors entering the pool area must sign an agreement and release of liability upon entrance.
Swim lessons for all ages begin June 4; and training programs are available for future lifeguards. Registration is currently being taken at Hook Community Center or online at www.victorvillerec.com.
