Emergency Bridge Work on Southbound I-215 to Eastbound I-10 Requires Nighttime Weekend Closures Starting 8/24

(Victor Valley)– The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be utilizing alternating lane closures on southbound Interstate 215 (I-215) from Orange Show Road to Washington Street and closing the eastbound Interstate 10 (I-10) connector to southbound I-215 during weekend nights starting on Friday, August 24, 2018, to perform emergency bridge repair work. The work will be done over five weekends, weather and construction constraints permitting, not including the upcoming Labor Day weekend holiday.  The closures are as follows:

Nightly from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m.

Saturdays: Aug. 25, Sept 8, Sept. 15, Sept. 22, Sept. 29.

Eastbound I-10 @

Southbound I-215

FULL  CONNECTOR CLOSURE

Detour: take north I-215 to next exit: W. Orange Show Road / S. Auto Center Road. Turn left.

Then turn right onto south I-215

Nightly from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.

Fridays: Aug. 24, Sept. 7,

Sept. 14, Sept. 21, Sept. 28.

 

Nightly from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m.

Saturdays: Aug. 25, Sept 8, Sept. 15, Sept. 22, Sept. 29

Alternating lane closures

At least one lane open at all times. No detour.

Motorists are advised to try and avoid the work hours.
