(Adelanto)– For the second year in a row the City of Adelanto will hold its State of the City program at Adelanto Stadium, again encouraging residents to come and learn about the status of the city in a variety of areas. “Business community representatives and folks from neighboring cities are invited to attend, but our Council feels pretty strongly that we have an obligation to let our constituents know how the city is doing,” said Mayor Richard Kerr.
The State of the City program will be held at Adelanto Stadium and Event Center on Thursday, September 27, 2018 starting at 6:00 p.m. Admission is free, and as a show of appreciation for community support, hot dogs and hamburgers will served.
“Last year we had an outstanding line-up with information not only about our city but some of the nonprofit organizations serving our community as well,” said Mayor Pro Tem John “Bug” Woodard. Woodard noted that unseasonably cool weather probably prevented many folks from attending last year but that the long range forecast shows mild temperatures for the 27th. Program format this year will be similar as last year with the exception of no V.I.P. area.
