Volunteers Needed for Playground Build Day Sept. 15

(Victor Valley)– The Family Assistance Program is seeking about 50 more volunteers for its playground build day on Sept. 15.

The Family Assistance Program has been working with Kaboom and the Ferrarese Foundation to build a new playground at its community center in Old Town Victorville.  After nearly a year of planning, the agency is finally ready to build the playground. Keurig Dr Pepper is the key funder and sponsor for the playground. Volunteers will be working from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Breakfast, lunch and water will be provided. Gloves and other safety materials will be provided for the projects that require them. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt to wear during the project.
