Coldwell Banker Home Source Participates in “Homes for Dogs Project”

By Staff Reports

(Victor Valley)– A vaccine, dog license, microchip and adoption event will be held on Saturday, October 13 from 8:00 a.m. until noon, at the Victorville City Hall parking lot, 14343 Civic Drive. Held in conjunction with Coldwell Banker’s Homes for Dogs National Adoption Weekend, and hosted by the City of Victorville, the event will feature reduced cost services and fees.

The nationwide adoption weekend is part of the “Homes for Dogs Project,” a campaign launched four years ago by Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC and Adopt-a-Pet.com, North America’s largest non-profit pet adoption website. In just the first year alone, the organizations helped to facilitate more than 20,000 adoptions.

“Not only are we committed to helping people in the High Desert find new homes every day, but now we get to extend that service to pets in need,” Coldwell Banker Home Source Vice President Chris Lamoreaux said. “It’s a win-win and we are gratified to sponsor free adoptions during our participation in National Adoption Weekend.”

Along with the City of Victorville providing low-cost dog vaccinations to all dog owners in the High Desert, and dog licensing services to Victorville residents only, event partner VVAPL Humane Society will being offering free microchipping to dogs with proof of a current City of Victorville license. For dogs that don’t qualify for a free microchip, the $10 cost is very affordable and extremely important. In addition, VVAPL will have their Mobile Adoption Vehicle on hand with dogs, four months and older, available for adoption.

Statistics from the ASPCA report that approximately 3.3 million dogs enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. Of these, about 620,000 stray dogs are returned to their owners, and only 1.6 million are adopted. Please consider adding a new family companion to your home – many of the Coldwell Banker Commercial’s sales associates have done just that in the past, reporting it’s been the best of experiences.

For those who would like to give a loving, forever home to a four-legged friend, VVAPL Humane Society is offering a special reduced adoption fee of $25, which includes vaccines, spay/neuter and a microchip. Prizes will be given out with each adoption, including a chance to win a free adoption, courtesy of Coldwell Commercial Home Source.

“Our partnership with Coldwell Banker Home Source has been extremely beneficial for our animals. From promoting our pets weekly through their social media platform to sponsoring adoptions at the annual national adoption weekend, Coldwell Banker Home Source has been instrumental in helping us find homes for our pets, as well as helping us continue in our mission to Make a Difference One Life at a Time,” stated Terry Saenz, VVAPL Humane Society board member and Coldwell Banker Commercial sales associate.
