(Apple Valley)– Access to the Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) bus stop on Bear Valley Road between Kiowa and Snapping Turtle roads will soon be easier thanks to a grant-funded construction project that began this week. When complete, the new construction will offer an ADA accessible path for residents to reach the shelter on the north side of Bear Valley Road.
The project, expected to be completed by January 4, includes building a bus turnout, installing a new passenger shelter, and closing the sidewalk gaps on each side of the stop. VVTA passengers may need to use alternate locations to accommodate intermittent closures of the bus stop during construction. Motorists should expect periodic lane closures and traffic delays.
