(Victor Valley)– As part of its effort to expand internship opportunities, the County Board of Supervisors recently approved an agreement for Grand Canyon University students to train at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
“Expanding career and technical training opportunities continues to be a high priority, and this program will open doors for local students pursuing health-related careers,” Supervisor Lovingood said. ARMC has a number of agreements with universities and colleges, junior colleges, and technical and trade schools to provide on-site clinical training for students. This clinical training is necessary for students to obtain their degrees, licenses, and/or certifications.
The program will help provide specialized medical care to ARMC patients, as well as increasing the future pool of healthcare specialists.
