Holiday Fire Safety Message

By Staff Reports

(Victorville)– The Holiday Season is a time to get together with families and friends, enjoy good food and decorations. Holiday fire safety should not take a backseat to festivities.

The U.S. Fire Administration reports an increase in the number of open flame fires on Christmas Day over an average day. The Victorville Fire Department would like to remind you to stay safe by ensuring you have operating smoke detectors, don’t overload electrical systems, and use care in cooking.

Additional holiday safety information is available on the National Fire Protection Association website.
