Taylion High Desert Academy To Hold Bookfair at the Victorville Barnes and Noble on December 16th

By Staff Reports

(Victorville)—On Sunday, December 16th, Taylion High Desert Academy will be hosting their annual Bookfair fundraiser at the Barnes and Noble in the Mall of Victor Valley.

“This is one of our most anticipated events for our students,” said Student Council Advisor Nolan Smith. “Our students love being out in the community, and are excited to wrap presents once again at our local Barnes and Noble.”

Students and staff from the charter school will be at Barnes and Noble beginning  at 1:00 p.m. to wrap presents this holiday season. Members of the school will be participating in storytime at the store as well. By mentioning Taylion at the time of purchase, a percentage will go towards supporting the school’s Student Council.

This is the fifth school year that Taylion Academy has hosted a bookfair at the local Barnes and Noble. The Student Council participates in a number of volunteer and fundraiser opportunities. Taylion’s students aim to give back to their community in any way they can. This school year alone, students have created a successful Socktober sock drive benefiting Moses House Ministries and have also assisted with the playground installation for the Family Assistance Program in Victorville.
