Victor Valley Community Warming Shelter Helps Those in Need

(Victor Valley)– The Victor Valley Community Warming Shelter at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds has an urgent need for help.

This shelter not only offers local homeless citizens a safe, comfortable place to spend cold nights but also connects the residents with much needed services and resources. The Warming Shelter has an immediate need for donations of money, instant coffee, powdered hot chocolate, thermo cups and plastic spoons, instant oatmeal, snack bars, Cup o Soups, bottled water or juice and paper towels. They also are looking for volunteers. Donations can be dropped off at the Office of County Supervisor Robert Lovingood 12474-A Cottonwood Ave., Victorville (Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm) or at the High Desert Homeless Services 14049 Amargosa Rd., Victorville or the Victor Valley Rescue Mission (back entrance) 15572 7th St., Victorville.

Please let staff at these centers know the donations are specifically for the Warming Center.
