County Awards Tourism Grants to Local Chambers of Commerce

(Victor Valley)– Local chambers of commerce in unincorporated areas were recently approved for thousands of dollars in County tourism grants.

The Tourism Incentive Pilot Program is a short-term program intended to strengthen San Bernardino County’s tourism economy through the enhancement of business engagement and travel destination awareness. “Local chambers of commerce can use these funds to advertise and promote tourism and promotion of local events,” Supervisor Lovingood said.Grants to chambers in unincorporated communities include: Phelan, $25,000; Pinon Hills, $5,000; Wrightwood, $25,000 and Newberry Springs, $5,000.
