Cannonball Memorial Run Aids Families of Fallen Officers

(Victor Valley)– On Thursday, April 11, Cannon Ball Memorial Run participants embarked from Sheriff’s Headquarters on their cross country campaign to raise awareness of peace officers killed in the line of duty.

San Bernardino Sheriff’s Sergeants Jason Hendrix and John Bannes, started the Cannonball Memorial Run to raise awareness of officers killed in the line of duty. The organization has established the National Immediate Relief Fund to provide immediate financial assistance to the families of all officers killed in the line of duty within 24-48 hours. Most of the nonprofit’s revenue comes from donations. Since October, the Cannonball Memorial Run has helped the families of 61 fallen officers with checks of $10,000 each.
