Local CHP Offers Driver Education Classes for Teens, Seniors

(Victor Valley)– The California Highway Patrol is accepting reservations for upcoming classes for senior and new drivers.

“Age Well Drive Smart” classes are intended to reduce motor vehicle collision and pedestrian deaths and injuries experienced by older Californians. The “Start Smart” class is aimed at helping newly licensed- or soon to be licensed- teenage drivers (15-19) become more aware of the responsibilities that accompany the privilege of being a licensed California driver. Both classes are approximately 1.5 to 2 hours long. To sign up for the “Start Smart” class, call the CHP at (760) 241-1186.

To register for the “Age Well Drive Smart” class, call St. Mary’s Senior Select at (760) 956-4158.
