(Victorville)– The 3rd annual Memorial Day Event at the San Bernardino County Fair will take place Monday, May 27th, 2019 in the Grandstands, the gates open at 5:00 p.m.
The event is held as a way to remember those that have given the ultimate sacrifice to the service of our country and stand in support of the families who have lost someone in the military. The Marine Corps Mounted Color Guard from the Marine Corps Logistics Base will present the Colors, the POW/MIA table will be organized by the Air Force Color Guard from March Air Reserve Base, the 11th Armored Cavalry Commander from NTC Ft Irwin will be speaking, and the Cavalry from NTC Ft Irwin will close the event as they perform maneuvers.
Gold Star Families will be honored during this special day as well. Before and after the event a Black Hawk helicopter will be available to tour, thanks to the Los Alamitos Army National Guard.
On this day, all military members, whether they are currently serving or have served honorably, will have free admission and parking into the Fair just by showing their IDs. Military members can find tickets for their families at Vettix.com: military members need only to sign in or create an account and then look up San Bernardino County Fair Memorial Day Event. Ticket quantities are limited and will only be available until May 23rd, 2019.
