(Apple Valley)– The Town of Apple Valley Parks and Recreation Commission will host a special meeting at 6 p.m. on June 12 for public input on how to spend park improvement funds also known as Quimby Fees.
“We want to know what new amenities our residents would like to see in their community parks, ” said Town Manager Doug Robertson. “The funds can only be used for capital improvements and not operating expenses or new programming. As an example, does the community want to see more basketball or tennis courts? Do they want splash pads or designated hiking and running trails? Do they want more picnic spaces? That’s what we’d like to find out at this meeting.”
Residents are invited to attend and share their ideas in the Conference Center located at 14975 Dale Evans Parkway, Apple Valley, CA 92307.
Residents are also invited to submit their suggestions via email to David Coleman, Parks and Recreation Manager, at email@example.com.
