(Victor Valley)– The Board of Supervisors recently approved a no-cost agreement with Waze Traffic Data to share publicly-available incident and road closure data.
County departments will provide data to Waze regarding County reported road and traffic conditions. In turn, Waze provides users with more precise data on current road conditions. Waze’s crowdsourcing approach to reporting potholes can be more efficient than conventional reporting means, and this information can be leveraged in road repair and maintenance strategies. Also, providing Waze location data on shelter and evacuation centers during emergency situations provides residents with timely and valuable information that can save lives. https://www.waze.com/
