(Victor Valley)– Citizens living in or near Bloomington, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, Rialto and Victorville who are interested in running for the governing board of one of three local districts may pick up candidacy documents starting on Monday, July 15.
Candidate filing for the Nov. 5, 2019 Consolidated Election continues through 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9.
The following districts have offices up for election:
* Cucamonga Valley Water District, Divisions 1 and 2
o Two Members of the Board of Directors, one for each division, for 4-year terms
* Victor Valley Union High School District, Area 2
o One Member of the Governing Board for a 3-year term
* West Valley Water District, Divisions 1, 4 and 5
o Three Members of the Board of Directors, one for each division, for 4-year terms
Citizens who are interested in running for these district offices may obtain the appropriate documents at the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters, 777 E. Rialto Avenue in San Bernardino from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. In addition, citizens interested in running for Director of the Cucamonga Valley Water District may obtain the appropriate documents from the district office, during regular business hours.
At the time a person picks up candidate documents for one of these offices, he or she must be a registered voter residing in the district and division/area. Interested citizens may confirm whether they are registered to vote and live within a district and division/area by using the Registrar of Voters’ My Elections Gateway application at https://www.sbcountyelections.com/VoterRegistration/MyElectionGatewayInfo.aspx.
Completed candidate filing documents must be filed at the Registrar of Voters by 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9.
