Community Day Focuses on Healthy Living

(Barstow)– Community Day in Barstow is back again this summer and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever! With several interactive activities to Eat, Win, Relax and Learn about ways of achieving a healthier, more fulfilling life, there’s something for everyone.

All attendees will have the chance to win a great weekend getaway or a 60-inch TV as raffles will take place throughout the day!

This fun and informative event will offer attendees the opportunity to:

  • Try healthy snacks and get new cooking ideas
  • Check out fitness demos for all abilities and ages
  • Receive free health screenings, eye exams and tips from medical professionals
  • De-stress with light fitness stretching, chair exercises and massages

For those interested in getting smart about their health, they can take part in an “Ask your Doctor” open panel discussion on tips for a healthy family with Barstow’s own Louise Skelton, OB/GYN, and keynote speaker Marlon Russell, MD, who specializes in Internal Medicine and Urgent Care services.

This event is hosted by Heritage Victor Valley Medical Group from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 24 at Barstow Community College’s Performing Arts Center, located at 2700 Barstow Road.
