(Victor Valley)– Caltrans has added safety measures as part of improvements along Highway 395, south of Kramer Junction/Highway 58.
Improvements include a median buffer, widening of shoulders to state standards, and installation of centerline and shoulder rumble strips.
“I want to thank Caltrans District 8 officials and the California Highway Patrol Victorville and Barstow stations for meeting with us to improve safety on Highway 395,” Supervisor Lovingood said. “This has been a high priority for quite some time, so it is great to see progress on these improvements.” Local CHP stations have conducted special enforcement operations on Highway 395. This entire project is expected to be complete in Spring of 2021, weather permitting.
