Town Expands Household Hazardous Waste Collections

By Staff Reports

(Victor Valley)– Residents can now drop off household hazardous waste and tires every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The Town of Apple Valley and Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc. have partnered to expand services at the Town’s Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection facility.

“We have partnered with Burrtec to open our HHW site every Saturday,” said Code Enforcement Manager Guy Eisenbrey. “Additionally, residents now have the opportunity to dispose of their used and waste tires at this same location.”

The Town will continue to offer Tire Amnesty Days at Lion’s Park throughout the year.

“We strive to bring our residents the best possible services,” said Mayor Larry Cusack. “Previously, the collection facility was open to the public only on the first four Saturdays of each month. Now our residents have the added convenience to drop off household hazardous waste or tires on all Saturdays under these newly expanded services.”

The HHW Collection Facility is located at the Town Public Works Yard at 13450 Nomwaket Road, Apple Valley, CA 92308.

The next Tire Amnesty Day will be held on Saturday, August 17 at Lion’s Park.
