(Victorville) – The City of Victorville is inviting the community to participate in its 23rd Annual Veterans Day Parade & Ceremony, Nov. 11. Parade entry applications and Veteran Information Forms are now available on the City’s website.
As part of tradition, the City will host its Salute to Victorville Veterans during the Ceremony. The City’s goal is to include as many Victorville Veterans as possible and honor them during this tribute.
The community is invited to tell the City about local Veterans by submitting Veteran Information Forms. Veterans can complete the Information Form themselves, or the form can be completed by friends and family. This tribute is for all Veterans, current and past, with any length of military service that is active duty, reserve component or National Guard with any U.S. military branch. The only requirement is the Veteran must have lived in Victorville at some point in his or her lifetime.
“We owe our military veterans our lasting gratitude, and we hope to honor as many local veterans from Victorville as possible during our Veterans Day Ceremony this year,” said Victorville Mayor, Gloria Garia. “Please tell us about veterans you know and love so that we can honor them during our Ceremony. If you haven’t attended our Ceremony, I invite you to join us. I think you will really enjoy seeing pictures of our local Veterans on the big screen and hearing their stories.”
