Linebreakers Welcomes Local Artists to Halloween ComicFest, Announces Donations to St. Jude’s Research Hospital

(Victorville)—Linebreakers is pleased to announce several local artists that will be in attendance at their Halloween ComicFest event on October 26th, including Marvel Comics artist and High Desert resident Joshua Cassara.

In support of the new title Cassara is working on, Marvel’s X-Force, Linebreakers has announced that they will be donating a portion of the sales for X-Force #1 to St Jude’s Research Hospital. This is for issues pre-ordered before October 14th, which is the cut off for orders. Contact Linebreakers to pre-order your copy today, and help in the shops’ efforts to support a local artist and a great cause this Halloween season. For every copy a customer pre-orders, Linebreakers will make a 30% donation. When purchasing numerous copies, Linebreakers is offering the option that they will donate the issues you buy to local schools, libraries, or hospitals on the customers’ behalf. A receipt will be given for customers to use for their tax purposes as well. Every issue pre-ordered by October 14th will also include an entry to win an original Wolverine sketch by Cassara. 

Cassara will be joined by several different artists as well, including sketch card artists Cesar Flores, Eric Rivera, and Mat Hurtado, a local tattoo artist with Black Anchor Collective in Hesperia. Artists will have their work on display during the Halloween ComicFest event, which brings together the community for the love of comic books, cosplay, and Halloween. Free comic books, made available for Halloween ComicFest, will be available while supplies last. Costume contests, trick or treating, crafts, and more will also be taking place throughout the day. 

Halloween ComicFest (HCF) is the comic book industry’s premier fall event – a single day when participating comic book specialty shops across North America and around the world give away specially published comic books absolutely free. Publishers with books available for free include DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Dark Horse Comics, IDW Publishing, BOOM! Studios, Dynamite Entertainment, and Image Comics, along with a slew of independent publishers.
