(Victor Valley)– Serrano High School will host the Southern California premier of the film, “The Girl Who Wore Freedom,” the unconventional love story between the people of Normandy, France and the American GIs who freed them from Nazi rule during World War II.Through the eyes of a little French girl, the film sheds light on the hardships and trauma of the four-year occupation, as well as the overwhelming joy felt when American GIs freed her city.
The film screening will be Saturday, Nov. 23 at the Serrano High School Performing Arts Center, 9292 Sheep Creek Road in Phelan. Doors open at 1 PM.
