Civil War Breaks Out at Calico Feb. 15-16

(Victor Valley)– Calico Ghost Town will come alive with Civil War battles, the sounds of bugles, and the thunder of cannon and musket fire on Feb. 15 and 16. Calico, in partnership with the Union Army of the West, Inc., invites visitors to come and witness historic presentations, troop inspections, artillery demonstrations, military battles and much more.

Battles will occur daily at 11:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.  Before the battles begin, watch as President Lincoln inspects his troops. After the battle is over, find President Lincoln reading The Gettysburg Address in central Calico. Calico is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.  Saturday and Sunday admission to the event is $10 for adults, $5 for youth (4-11), and free for children 3 and under.
