(Victor Valley)– The Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved an agreement that will provide a new, innovative treatment for acute burn patients.
The agreement allows Arrowhead Regional Medical Center to use RECELL Autologous Cell Harvesting Devices. The Spray-On Skin™ cell process uses a small sample of a patient’s own skin to regenerate the outer layer of natural, healthy skin. “I am proud to support this innovative development,” Supervisor Lovingood said. “This new process decreases the possibility of infection and also decreases pain for burn victims. It also reduces scarring and length of stay at the hospital compared to traditional skin graft procedures.”
