Update on SR 18 Shoulder Widening Project

(Victor Valley)– The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) continues the safety project on State Route 18 (SR-18) in and near the city of Adelanto from the United States Highway 395 (US-395) junction to 263rd East Street. This project includes the widening of existing shoulders to state standard and the installation of shoulder rumble strips.

Shoulder paving will take place this week with daytime closures requiring one-way traffic control on Tuesday through Thursday, February 11 through 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Expect delays up to fifteen minutes during the flagging operation. Use alternate routes if possible. Be advised, weather conditions may affect this operation.

This press release was for shoulder paving on SR 2 at Sheep Creek near Wrightwood.  There is no work or lane closures on SR 2 due to winter suspension.
