2020 Intertribal Gathering of Indigenous Peoples

(Hesperia)– The 1st annual High Desert Intertribal Gathering of Indigenous Peoples is almost here! Please join R.O. Indigenous Embrace and the Hesperia Recreation and Park District for this FREE family event, with host drum, Indian Hill. The event will take place at Hesperia Lake Park, located at 7500 Arrowhead Rd. This gathering will be held over a course of three days, beginning Friday, April 17 at 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. with opening prayer at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 18 will run from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m., and Sunday, April 19 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Come enjoy a weekend of community gathering where you can experience living culture and traditions including songs, dance, and storytelling from various Indigenous peoples from around the world. Enter the raffle and check out the arts and crafts, food, and more. All dancers, storytellers, and drum groups are welcome! Absolutely no drugs, alcohol, or weapons allowed.
