(Victor Valley)– With the closures of schools through the end of the school year, there are a number of online resources available to help support the distance learning our schools have in place for students. The Khan Academy, a nonprofit educational organization, offers free lessons online in math, sciences and humanities, as well as free tools for parents and teachers to track student progress.
The Kahn Academy learning system is mastery based, which allows students to master key concepts at a pace that’s just right for them before moving on to more challenging content. Khan Academy’s platform is free for students and teachers and includes thousands of interactive exercises, videos and articles that cover a range of K–12 subjects and college preparation. More than 18 million learners use Khan Academy every month in 190 countries and more than 200,000 educators use their free teacher tools.
